Does anyone really know what is going to happen?

Are these cries for attention just another "sky is falling" warning like y2k?

re these warnings simply made up by conspiracy theorists pointing their fingers at the world's elite, accusing the select few of keeping the rest of us in the dark since the dark ages, and conspiring to keep in secret... shadow governments that really run things on planet Earth while keeping an impending doomsday reality "top secret"?

Or, is all the hub-bub just make believe, like many of the hyped-up movie trailers promoting just another Hollywood thriller to rake in profits at the box office?

My personal belief is that the world is not going to end on December 21, 2012. But one of the theories I hold is that all of these seeming unrelated sources cannot be completely wrong that culminate and converge around, near, or exactly on the date of cosmic reconciliation "December 21, 2012". Sources that span millennia, cross cultures, and cross continents from ancient times when diverse cultures had no way of being in contact with one another. Or did they? Did they have help from above, from angels, from extra-terrestrials, from God?

My current opinion is, a lot of what is being predicted about end-times resembles what Jesus Christ called the "beginning of sorrows" in Matthew 24:6-6 NKJV. The prophecies speak for themselves. This is my current point of view, yet I cannot deny the prophesies that point to major climatic shifts occurring in the world like the increase and frequency of storms, hurricanes, devastating tornadoes, tsunamis, earth quakes, damage to the ozone layer, the polluting of the ocean, the melting of the polar ice caps, famines, diseases brought on by super-bugs like the more recent swine flu virus, and the list goes on. While all of it tends to point to this time, especially when drawing from the Mayan Prophesies correlating with the Mayan Long Count Calendar and it's inter-related cycles.

The main reason I decided to write this short article, is because I came across a resource that has literally blown my mind regarding the inter-related prophetic voices that have been rising to the surface, that are culminating at our time in history, when many of these prophecies seem to be coming to pass and... OUR generation will be here to witness the outcome of thousands of years of prophetic voices "pointing to" this current generation from the past!

It isn't my intention to sound like a tornado siren going off to cry "fair warning" before all hell breaks loose, but my good friend and confidante James Sayer has been enlightening me to crucial, hard cold facts about many of the world's cultures end time prophecies, emphasizing the astronomical accuracy of the Mayan Calendar, and he's got me sitting up in my chair.

The clock is already ticking, as it has been for millennia.
